Integration

Overview

In the journey towards successful refugee resettlement, the process of community integration plays a crucial and pivotal role. We believe that it should go beyond mere adaptation to a new culture โ€” and should involve active engagement with traditions, customs, and social activities.

In a nutshell โ€” by providing opportunities to attend music events, sports games, museums, and exhibitions, and much more โ€” our approach to integration supports refugees through fostering understanding by gaining an insight into local cultures, breaking social barriers by providing opportunities to interact with native citizens in informal settings, developing English language ability by immersion through casual conversations, and empowerment by allowing them to take an active role in their integration process.

Moreover, resettlement is emotionally challenging for refugees โ€” as they often leave behind their homes, families, and support systems โ€” and integration activities provide avenues for them to experience joy and a sense of normalcy, which is crucial for their mental health and psychological wellbeing. This doesnโ€™t only benefit refugees, but also enriches the fabric of the community by promoting diversity, understanding and unity.

How can we help?

We want to help refugees establish roots within their communities, facilitate social connections and relationships, foster a strong sense of belonging, and ultimately promote a smoother process of integration.

We can:

Provide a wide range of tickets to concerts and festivals, and other music events

Provide a wide range of tickets to football, tennis, and rugby matches, and other sports events

Provide a wide range of tickets to museums and exhibitions, and other cultural experiences

Provide a wide range of tickets to theme parks and zoos, and other amusement parks

If you would like to see our forthcoming events, please head over to our Events platform to learn more. And if you want to be the first to know when we add new events, you can sign up to our newsletter.

How does it work?

1

A direct request from the refugee/referral from a third-sector partner is made. This includes the completion of our Assimiliation Questionnaire, which collects all pertinent information about the applicantโ€™s needs.

Request

2

Attend

Upon confirmation that sufficient tickets are available, we send across e-tickets or mail physical tickets to the applicant, along with all information required for the applicant to have a safe and memorable experience.

3

What happens next?

We keep in touch with applicants, and build close relationships with the companies and organisations whose generosity makes this possible, so we can arrange further events, and ensure more families can benefit.

โ€œThank you to Mary, Nadiya, and Warner Bros. This has been the most difficult year for my family. We suffered loss, we suffered heartbreak, we suffered pain. Derek found a home for us to live, we found jobs, and we settled here. Olga was not the same since we left Ukraine. Her first smile was at Diagon Alley and, for me, this is priceless. I thank you forever.โ€
